Do you want to regenerate your farm or ranch business?
Jason Bradley - President, Regener8ve Ag
I see nature-based systems as the key to creating regenerative agriculture businesses and advancing community based economic prosperity and resilience. As a rancher, a researcher, and a fourth generation Albertan, I have experienced the inexplicable synergy that occurs when plants, animals, air, water, and land are allowed to work together, exactly how they were created to, and in a way that is additive to the environment, not extractive. As a regenerative agriculture business management consultant, I am seeing farm and ranch owners start to make generational changes to their functional soil health and their business enterprises.

Cattle Ranchers & Farmers have three main problems to solve;
By relying on increasing your soil’s biological function and accessing the natural nutrients available in the air, water, and soil, primary agriculture producers can switch from heavy reliance on chemicals and tillage within the industrial production model. This allows them to reduce and eventually eliminate the high cost of buying and applying synthetic nutrients and allows them to avoid using fungicides, herbicides, and pesticides in general. In this nature-based approach, when yields are kept constant or improved, net-margins start to increase and overall business resilience is improved.
Solutions for Profitability
Finding ways to improve the biological function of soil allows farmers and ranchers to measurably increase their functional soil health. When plants grow in a multi-crop situation, soil is armored, a living root is kept in the ground for as along as possible, soil is not mechanically or chemically disturbed, and when livestock are properly integrated into regenerative agriculture growing systems, overall soil health increases as more atmospheric carbon is cycled into the soil where it is most needed. The results? Increased water infiltration rates and water use efficiency which allows producers to catch every drop of rain where it falls.
Solution to Soil Health
The nutritional value and content of our food has been degrading for decades, but when producers find effective ways to implement regenerative agriculture practices, plants and animals are able to grow and thrive in the way they were originally created. This nature-based approach to food production allows many different epigenetic effects to be influenced and increases the nutritional value of the food we eat.
